The World’s 5 Most Luxurious Super Yachts
The ultimate status symbol of every billionaire in the world is the super yacht. You could only dream about soaking the sun on top of the deck while the waves whoosh from below, or lounge in your cabin as your butler serves you the finest seafood dishes, fresh from the ocean. Here are our top five luxury super yachts:
Next is the second largest private yacht in the world, Dubai. This super yacht is owned by Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, prime minister of the United Arab Emirates. This ship has the size of 534 ft. made by the builders of Eclipse in collaboration with Lürssen, another builder from Germany. This super yacht was first constructed for Prince Jefri Bolkiah of Brunei until construction stopped but was then continued in 2001. It boasts a dramatic glass spiral staircase on the top deck with a large deck lounge area, a helicopter pad and room to accommodate 115 people including its crew.
Third mega yacht on the list is the ‘A’. This luxury yacht is considered to be one of the finest yachts to sail the seas. This private luxury yacht is owned by Andrey Melnichenko, chairman of EuroChem. Also designed by Blohm + Voss, this yacht features a unique modern design. Certainly not one of the largest ships in the world and has minimal deck space, this humble mega yacht still gives pride to its distinctive upside down hull design.
Super yacht, Al Said is fourth on our list. There is very little information about this yacht, but still it manages to be one of the biggest private yachts in the world. It has a length of 504 ft. that can fit an estimate of 70 guests.
Last is the future of luxury yachts, the upcoming Streets of Monaco. Rumored to be more than 500 ft. long, this yacht will include a casino, a go-kart track, tennis courts and several swimming pools. This luxury yacht will literally look like the streets of Monaco since it has been said to be designed based on Monaco’s Hotel de Paris. And if you’re already getting keyed up to this yacht’s features, it also will be having its own library, a cinema and a communal balcony to add up to the hype. Although it’s not yet entirely built, this super yacht will definitely be one to look out for.
This is a comprehensive list as of the beginning of 2011- There are obviously many more super yachts being built as we speak! The world is in a global recession but that obviously doesn’t affect the ruling class!
